Rain's Eye Plan is a unique map of Sunderland from 1785 - 1790. However, the map is drawn in a way that actually depicts the buildings with roofs and windows etc. and names the owners of land. The original map is nearly 6 foot wide and 2 foot deep. The book provides an A4 copy and uses individual sections of the map in images with detailed descriptions of each section.
